Converting Agricultural
Biomass Waste
Biomass waste refers to organic materials derived from plants and animals that can be used as renewable energy sources. Examples include agricultural residues, wood chips, sawdust & Cow Dung. Biomass plays a key role in reducing dependence on fossil fuels and promoting clean energy.
India currently generates around 500 million tons of crop residue annually. Out of this, approximately 40% is burned as biomass fuel, contributing significantly to air pollution and environmental degradation.
